Conducting a session is a daily routine and getting to know the session buttons helps to smoothly conduct your session. Below is the guide to what the session buttons are:
This is what a session looks like. The main screen will be the client you are working with and your video screen is on the lower right corner.
End Call/Hang Up
The first button at the bottom is the "End Call" button. Click this when you want to finish the session. A confirmation prompt will appear to help prevent accidental disconnections. When ending a session, please make sure to properly end the call using the designated option. Simply closing the live session window may cause delays or errors in generating your recording.
Audio and Video Mute
The next two buttons are for the audio and video mute.
Screen Sharing
To share content using screen sharing, click this button. You can choose to share a specific Chrome tab, a particular window, or your entire screen. Please note that currently, only video can be shared. Audio from your device won’t be transmitted during the session unless it’s played through an external speaker.
Chat/Private Message
The next button is the messaging button. With this, you can choose to send messages to participants in the room.
Process/Session Notes
You can take notes during the session by clicking the notes button. All notes you record will be saved and can be reviewed later when you revisit the session.
Participants
This button displays the participants in the session.
Three Dots
Clicking the three dots in the lower right corner of your screen reveals various settings and preferences for the session.
Session Details
You can find phone options for joining the session if one is unable to join via the platform. Make sure to provide the correct phone number and corresponding PIN for the joining participant's location. Clicking "More Joining Options" will show additional numbers in the Toronto area. To send these details via email or SMS, click "Copy All Details" and paste them into your message.
Self View
You can customize the placement of your own screen here. Movable lets you manually position it anywhere on the screen. Include with Participants will automatically arrange your screen in a grid alongside all participants. None will remove your screen from view.
Layout
You can change the layout to improve your view of the session, which is especially helpful for group sessions with multiple participants. Auto is the default setting that arranges participants according to the total number present, with your own screen on the lower right placement. The 2x2 and 3x3 grids will display all participants in those respective styles. Speaker View will automatically highlight the person speaking by placing them front and center.
Settings
This feature lets you check or change your devices, including the camera, speaker, and microphone.
Book the Next Session
You can schedule the next session while you’re both still in the current session. This allows you to set up a follow-up session based on the agreement made during the ongoing session.
Supervisor Break In
The Supervisor Break In button (available only to supervisors) allows the supervisor to make their presence known during the session. This option can be used when necessary.
